When contacting technical support, have the following information handy so our application engineer will be able to assist you quicker. Mastercam's on-line Help (ALT-H) has answers to many commonly asked questions. Please try to locate the solution to your problem in these manuals first.

  • Company and contact (phone and e-mail) information
  • Mastercam Version and Product (Mill, Lathe, Wire etc.)
  • Sim number
  • Video card manufacturer and model
  • Hardware/OS information (i.e., RAM, OS version and type, etc.)
  • An accurate, complete description of the question or issue.
  • If possible, try to duplicate the problem. The support technician may request that you do this while you are on the phone. Also, be prepared to submit geometry, NCI files and other data related to your problem.

In addition, the support engineer may need:

  • The data files that are causing the problems. These files should be zipped to save space.
